Our approach

You don’t get many chances to tie up with a sporting world final, so we knew we had to use every tool available to us to make this a high-impact event. We activated a four-day, live event in London’s Trafalgar Square, giving fans and the public the chance to sample the skill and excitement of triathlon – one of the fastest growing sports in the UK.

  • We transformed Trafalgar Square into a triathlon experience, with live interviews, exciting footage beaming out from giant screens, exhibitions and demonstrations – plenty of action to keep everyone interested.
  • We worked with Sky Sports News host Charlie Webster, to create a flexible live show, challenging the audience to join in with the triathlon-themed activities.
  • Our design team created a replica medal podium for visitors to have their photographs taken with GB Team superstars – a take-home memento to keep them engaged.
  • We’d built up a buzz before the event to make sure we had plenty of enthusiastic visitors. We used our expertise and insight to create a communications strategy to reach, interact with, and grow an audience using PR and social media.

  • 8.4m total social media impressions.
  • 27% increase in Facebook community.
  • 12% increase in Twitter followers.
  • Over 8,500 unique interactions.
