Our approach

With Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena a large blank canvas, we worked with the venue to use their assets and our own to create a high impact event:

  • Our designers created a backdrop design using archive newspaper imagery to set the scene.
  • We created video content to tell the story of the journeys that each team took on their route to the Hall of Fame.
  • We designed a lighting installation that provided a huge ‘wow’ factor on the night, and a sound system that could be heard faultlessly throughout the arena, on a very tight budget.
  • We scheduled an installation timeline that worked with the venue’s events that were taking place the day before and the day after to ensure we could deliver our promises on time and on budget.

Results

  • A fantastic atmosphere in the arena with over 2,500 guests in attendance.
  • Star names including Carl Froch were on hand to present the awards.
  • Coverage on ITV, BBC and streamed live on social channels.
  • Extensive coverage in local newspaper, the Nottingham Post.
